PRV COVID-19 Hospital Policies

Pablo River Veterinary COVID-19 Protocols

General hospital operation is "business as usual".  Clients are welcome inside the hospital with no restrictions.  However, many of the policies enacted in response to the pandemic will remain as options.

  1. Social distancing will not be enforced.
  2. Masks are optional.  Some of our staff may continue to wear masks as a personal choice.  Wearing a mask when feeling ill is considered common courtesy & is appreciated.
  3. For clients who prefer, curbside & drop-off appointments will still be offered.
  4. Submitting appointment information & medical history though the fillable forms on our website is encouraged.  This will make the visit more efficient. If you are unable to submit that info, history will be taken during the appointment.

For those desiring curbside appointments, following are instructions to ensure a smooth visit:

  1. Please submit appointment details & medical history in advance (see above).
  2. Upon arrival in our parking lot, text (904) 747-0953 with your pet’s name & the make/color of your vehicle. If unable to text, call us at (904) 551-6733.
  3. We will receive your pet at your vehicle side
  4. Once our initial evaluation is complete, we will call you to discuss the findings & make recommendations. If needed an estimate can be provided.
  5. Once treatment is complete, an invoice will be emailed so that you can pay online by credit card or payment can be taken by phone. If you prefer to pay by check or cash, we can accept that at your vehicle.
  6. Your pet will then be brought back to your vehicle & handed off to you.

  • Have all cats securely inside a pet carrier.
  • Have all dogs securely inside a pet carrier or securely fastened by a harness. If your pet only has a collar, make sure it is secure (Atlantic Blvd with heavy traffic is only yards away from our parking lot so we will place a slip lead for added security).

Thank you for your understanding & cooperation during the past year, plus.  These have been challenging times for all. We sincerely hope you & your loved ones have remained healthy & safe.
